I'm a Danish filmmaker. My main focus has always been emotional storytelling where the acting stands out. But lately I can't keep my fingers away from vfx, timelapses and camera tricks. And I often enjoy working as 2nd unit director on other peoples films.
I try to make films that are quirky, authentic, more realistically magic than magically realistic. But above all: films that transmit feelings, simple as that.
I grew up in Copenhagen, and have lived in Spain, Czech Rep., Chile, Germany and Hungary. So I try to let the influences of all these places shine through in my films.
Apart from my official degrees, I've taken several acting courses and always had acting be one of the key elements in my films.
Alongside becoming a director I've also worked as camera assistant and operator on more than 100 commercials (Coca Cola, Justin Bieber, Lego, Nestlé) which has given me an insight that helps me produce technically challenging films at low cost. Especially in the music videos I like to go tech crazy!
